The New Zealand Branches of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) and the Australian and New Zealand Society of Respiratory Science (ANZSRS) invite you to join them for the New Zealand Branch Meeting to be held at the Napier War Memorial Centre, Hawke’s Bay from 17-19 September 2025.
Located on the beach of Napier's famous Marine Parade, the Napier War Memorial Centre offers a purpose-built venue that uniquely combines spectacular outlooks with a functional layout.
Beautifully preserved 1930s architecture is Napier's unique point of difference. Street after street of stunning and beautifully restored Art Deco buildings has made Napier famous as one of the most complete collections of Art Deco buildings in the world. Napier is home to many fine wineries, fabulous restaurants, bars, and cafes.
We are planning an exciting and informative scientific program and will be showcasing both international and local New Zealand speakers and their associated research, relevant to our current clinical practice throughout the program. We are thrilled to announce our international speakers, Danny Brazzale, Prof Chris Blyth, Prof Clint Moloney, Prof Natasha Smallwood, Prof Greg Snell and Dr Arietta Spinou.
There will also be a fantastic social program to assist our respiratory community in reconnecting in a relaxed atmosphere, including the NZ Branch Dinner, which will be hosted at the iconic Mission Estate Winery. Nestled into the Taradale hills and surrounded by farmland and vineyards, yet only 10 minutes from the city and airport, Mission offers a convenient and picturesque setting for dinner.
The delegates will include Paediatricians with a special interest in respiratory medicine, Respiratory Physicians and Trainees, Nurses, Scientists, Physiologists, Physiotherapists, and Associated Allied Health Professionals.
As well as the main TSANZ sessions, paediatric stream, and ANZSRS stream we will continue to offer extended sessions including Wednesday’s Nurse/Allied Health and Trainee Day.
Following the fantastic turnout in Queenstown, we’re anticipating similar enthusiasm for the 2025 meeting, which promises to be another exceptional meeting filled with engaging sessions and networking opportunities.
