Dr Robert Lewis

Dr Rob Lewis is a Specialist in Respiratory Medicine at Middlemore Hospital (Counties Manukau, New Zealand), and a visiting specialist to the Greenlane Pulmonary Vascular Clinic, Auckland.

He undertook his pulmonary vascular fellowship at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. In 2020 he was awarded a doctorate (MD) from the University of Sheffield for his research in risk stratification and phenotypes within pulmonary arterial hypertension. He continues to have active research interests in both PAH and PE and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at both the University of Auckland and the University of Sheffield.

Rob has published a number of papers in leading journals which have been cited in the ESC/ERS guidelines on pulmonary hypertension. He is the New Zealand director of the PHSANZ registry, and remains active in PAH clinical trials.
