Senior Respiratory Scientist

Danny has been working in the field of respiratory physiology for over 25 years, with most his time spent at the Austin Hospital. He has significant involvement in staff training, in particular training in the delicate art of arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
Danny has held several official Australian and New Zealand Society of Respiratory Science positions, including a 2-year stint as president. Danny has been involved in several journal publications about lung function testing, refence values and their impact on test interpretation.
His other research interests include; cardiopulmonary exercise testing and quality assurance issues relating to lung function testing. Danny is also currently a member of the Global Lung Function Initiative network executive.
Outside of work, Danny spends as much time as possible trying to catch fish, with varying degrees of success.
